Introduction to fractions

1. How will you make sure that the students have understood what a third, a quarter, etc. is?

2. Will the students play the fraction game individually, in pairs, or in groups of 3-4 children, and what will be the rules of the game, the reward system?

3.How could this work be optimised so that the more slowly working students can cut the circles into appropriate fractions during the lesson and write the size of the part on top of them?

4. If fruits are brought to the lesson, how will you organise their cutting and how will you explain fractions to the students if the fruits are of different sizes?
